Wow! It's been a little hectic around my corner of the galaxy. I've been working some long hours and been absolutely devoid of energy to record and be clearly conscious for editing.

In the meantime, I wanted to let everybody know about some changes to upcoming plans. I realized that we'd scheduled the interview with Paul Levinson on Super Tuesday, and since I'm participating in my first caucus we had to reschedule. For now, I am planning for Tuesday, February 19th. I'll post a notice with more information once a new date is confirmed and I'll have a new promo that I would greatly appreciate getting rotation in your show if you are a podcaster.

Episode #19 featuring author Julia Phillips will be up next with a new Classic Zone following shortly after that.

Thanks for your patience! I'll have more good stuff to you soon.

Holiday Bonus #1 - Return to the Failed Cities

I have a holiday gift for you from Parsec Award winning author Matt Wallace and Rick Stringer, producer of the Variant Frequencies podcast: A gorgeous eChapbook entitled "Hath A Darkness," set in the warped world of The Failed Cities.

To some the number 99 represents the many names of God. But as a blacksnowfall blankets the Failed Cities on Christmas Eve, the arrival of 99mysterious steel chambers is the catalyst that sets a series of farfrom blessed events in motion. From bullets and bata sticks to alife-and-death hostage situation to high-speed battles up switchbackmountain roads, eight people become links in a deadly chain that willeither tether innocent lives to safety or strangle any hope for theirfuture. And as each part of the story unfolds, we learn that above allthings, Christmas in the Failed Cities is a feverishly struck balancebetween the constant threat of violence and the briefest, mostbittersweet moments of joy.

Featuring the characters that drove theoriginal audio epic, and told, as always, in their own voices, THEFAILED CITIES: HATH A DARKNESS brings this unique storytelling style tothe page for the first time, enhanced with original illustrations byRick Stringer.

If you're a Variant Frequencies subscriber, it's already waiting for you. Otherwise, scroll down and click the link to get your copy right now.

Direct link to the PDF is here.
